-WHAT IS TABULA REUSE?-
Tabula Reuse : WHAT IS IT?
– TABULA REUSE IS A PUBLIC WEB PLATFORM AND A ARCHITECTURAL DEVICE FOR THE REUSE OF MATERIALS –
link website TABULA REUSE
This blog is the summary and the final project of a research Bachelor of Architecture and Society school.
The research wants to show how waste can be considered a resource in architecture to built new structural elements for public and private spaces through a self construction processes.
The aim of this blog is to create a network between people that are involved in the production of waste materials (companies, industries, artisans..) and low technology reuse techniques related to students, designers, artists, citizens..
With a collection of case studies, interviews and data sheets of architectural elements for self construction, the blog shows the great potential that wasted materials still have before being dismissed and considered trash.

HOW DOES IT WORKS?-
Tabula Reuse : HOW DOES IT WORK?
The project investigates the informal network of people, materials, places, activated by the topic of matelials’ reuse. Tabula Reuse wants to define the social, cultural and economical opportunities for the contemporary city.
-the tabula reuse diagram is organized in 5 sections: architectural elements, materials, objects, actors, places that defines the different networks
-a map is designed to orient the user in the city and shows where the materials can be found, stored, worked (self- construction laboratories)
– world’s cases studies to show what’s been done with the reuse of materials in architecture
– open source DIY technical tables to suggest the way to built the architectural elements
– feedback and partecipation by the city users to let everybody be part of the project and help to give a better service
Tabula Reuse can be applied to every city according to the previous points: Tabula Reuse Milano as project application (interviews, map, cases studies)
