The workshop “CRISIS REGIMES AND EMERGING SOCIAL MOVEMENTS IN CITIES OF SOUTHERN EUROPE “ will take place in Athens, Greece on 7-9 February 2013.

The event is organized by Encounter Athens, INURA Athens, The Institut de Govern i Polítiques Publiques and the The Department of Urban and Regional Planning of the National Technical University of Athens and is funded by a Regional Workshop Award by the Antipode Foundation.

The proposed topics, which have been selected on the basis that they raise critical urban questions and triggered social mobilizations and alternative social practices in South European cities, are the following:

Theme I: Ultra-neoliberal urban development

Theme II: Housing in crisis

Theme III: The local as a reference for new mobilizations, solidarity networks and actions.

Il workshop “REGIMI DI CRISI E NUOVI MOVIMENTI SOCIALI NELLE CITTA’ DEL SUD EUROPA” si terrà ad Atene, Grecia, il 7-9 febbraio 2013.

L’evento è organizzato da Encounter Athens, INURA Athens, l’Istituo di Governo e Politiche Pubbliche e il Dipartimento di Pianificazione Urbana e Regionale dell’Università Tecnica di Atene e sostenuto dal Premio Regionale della Fondazione Antipode.

I temi proposti, selezionati sulla base dei fatti accaduti, che sollevano critiche alle questioni urbane e che hanno innescato mobilitazioni sociali e le pratiche sociali alternative in tutta Europa sono i seguenti:

- Tema I: sviluppo urbano ultre liberista

- Tema II: Crisi del sistema abitativo

- Tema III: Il locale come riferimento per nuove mobilitazioni, le reti di solidarietà e le azioni
